Risk factors of nausea

Short-term nausea as well as vomiting is considered generally harmless, but they can at times point to a serious condition. When subjected to prolonged vomiting, nausea might result in dehydration and or potentially risky electrolyte imbalances. A point to note here is that nausea/vomiting are not specific illnesses in themselves but can be indicators of some deeper underlying cause.
